A small-group retreat exploring the rhythm between movement and stillness.
Set in the Japanese Alps, Hakuba, this three-night, four-day experience blends Pilates, mindfulness, alpine adventure, and curated dining in a calm, small-group setting.
Movement sessions frame the day, while time in nature, curated dining, and restorative downtime create the space to slow down, reset, and reconnect with what matters.

Guests stay at The Phoenix Chalets, part of Hakuba Hospitality Group.
Each chalet offers modern interiors, ensuite rooms, shared living areas, and mountain-view terraces, ideal for small, connected groups.
All classes take place in a private chalet with sweeping views up to the Alps.

Sample Daily Rhythm
Morning
Pilates and mindfulness sessions followed by breakfast together and time in the mountains, canoeing on Lake Aoki, cycling through the valley, or walking to Happo Pond.
Midday
Lunch by the lake, a sushi-making class, or a relaxed meal together before time to explore Hakuba at your own pace.
Afternoon
Free time for onsens, massage, mountain walks, or rest, followed by a slow mobility and meditation session to unwind the body.
Evening
Shared curated dining experiences — from chef-led BBQs to a memorable evening at Tori & Co.

Melissa Wright
Workplace Mindfulness Facilitator | Pilates Educator
With over 26 years’ experience in movement, education, and wellbeing, Melissa brings a rare mix of technical expertise and intuitive teaching to her work.
A Diploma-qualified Polestar Pilates educator and mindfulness coach, she has trained and mentored instructors across Australia, developing a reputation for her clear communication, supportive leadership, and intelligent programming.
Her approach is both structured and deeply human, combining evidence-based movement with a focus on nervous system regulation and embodied presence. Melissa’s retreats are designed for those seeking quality, connection, and calm professionalism, offering space to move well, think clearly, and reconnect with what matters.
