We all know that sustaining an active lifestyle can be hard. Especially when life is so busy. It’s even harder when we are made to believe that in order to see “results” we must go hard or go home. But what if there is another way?
How often have you started an intense exercise program either online or in a gym only to be left feeling sore, tired and unmotivated because you aren’t seeing those elusive results? You do all the “right” things but nothing shifts. You fight your fatigue and aching quads and continue on only to feel tight, sore and tired.
Over the years I have taught many people who have tried this approach. They feel deflated and detached by the time they get to Pilates.
These days with so much on our plates and stress levels higher than ever do we really need to add more stress? I don’t believe we do. Working in this way only adds stress to our bodies and if you are already producing excess cortisol and waking a lot at night you can be sure that what you really need to do is work your body in a smarter calmer way through Pilates and mindfulness.
That’s why I offer these two models as a complete system.
My 23-year career within the Pilates industry has been a mix of both teaching, educating and business and staff management. My first encounter with Pilates was as a young dancer at the age of fifteen and my ongoing love of movement health still continues today.
My adaptive teaching style and the ability to be able to get onto people’s level fosters trust and loyalty with my clients. Over the years I have provided transformative experiences for my clients and teachers through my knowledge and intuitive teaching style. It brings me joy and great satisfaction to help others overcome movement barriers and teach them how to increase their physical longevity to ensure they live with ease and flow.
My whole-person approach identifies individual client needs. My experience extends to a vast range of populations including those with little to no movement experience, those who need recovery from injuries, mums and dads, grandfathers, grandmothers, highly stressed corporates, dancers, musicians, performers and athletes.
