Mindful Communication

Develop self-confidence and inspire others

Negotiating with a client, presenting a new idea, challenging others’ viewpoints, and speaking up in meetings all require a combination of courage, knowledge, and confidence. To communicate mindfully, it’s essential to practice regularly as it can shift the experience from feeling stressed and apprehensive to being alert, self-assured, and courageous.

This workshop aims to prompt your team to reflect on their instinctive responses, transforming reactions into thoughtful actions and anxious team members into bold, mindful communicators.

Mindfulness practice enhances communication and listening abilities, fostering better relationships, trust, and rapport with both clients and colleagues. By becoming more attuned to our thoughts and signals, we pave the way for negotiations and difficult conversations to flow more smoothly, leading to a more enriching and gratifying life.

During this session, I will share three practical concepts that can boost confidence and enhance the ability to influence others with a blend of warmth and competence, preparing participants for important discussions.

Examining our communication reveals the impact of body language, voice tone, and appearance on client relationships. These factors play a crucial role in establishing trust, which is essential for closing deals, fostering loyalty, and forging new connections with clients.

Mindfulness extends beyond meditation sessions and breathwork; it is a holistic approach that uncovers our internal motivations and nurtures the mental resilience required to succeed in a constantly evolving environment.

The essence of Buddhism is - no self no problem. N The essence of Buddhism is - no self no problem. No centralised entity that life is happening to.This is a difficult concept to grasp when we live in a fast-paced society where more is more and everything that happens is happening to us.Sometimes that is the case, shit happens to us, but it’s the story we replay over and over again that makes us exhausted and trapped in the prison of our minds. The left hemisphere of the brain is constantly creating narratives to interpret reality which leads us to become identified with the stories of the mind. This is part of building our identity and the mask the world sees. Life unfolds with its passing experiences which causes us to grasp onto whatever may make us feel better in the moment. But, what happens when we remove the mask and take a step back to become the observer of our minds? The curious bystander that’s one step removed from the anxiety loop. This practice allows us to create space between ourselves and the emotions that arise, turning the intensity of those experiences into something more manageable, even humorous at times. This shift in perspective is at the heart of mindfulness practice, where the focus is on witnessing rather than identifying with our thoughts and feelings.I have recently been through something pretty shit that made me feel like I would never get out of the deep spiral of anxiety and depression I was in. Still, here I am with another door open and some fresh perspective due to actually making myself sit down and practice mindfulness. It wasn’t easy and it was very messy.I recently let my mindfulness practice slide when I felt like everything was going well—I even referred to my life as "ideal" a couple of months ago. The important lesson I learned is that, even when life seems stable, you never know when the rug will be pulled out from underneath you. When that happens, it’s crucial to be prepared. For me, that means maintaining my mindfulness practice, regardless of whether life is good, bad or messy.Rest in the comments...#mindfulness #mindfulnessinmotion #mindful #thepilatesescape #pilatesprettybeach
